Disappointed

The wicker used is split … if you look very carefully at the inside you can sort of see it. That makes the basket look a little cheaper, little less solid. Other baskets I’ve purchased elsewhere used the whole twig :(

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we're sorry to hear that you're disappointed with these baskets. The kubu storage baskets are indeed made with a split reed, but do come with a fabric liner. The split reed allows us to weave smaller items that the full thickness material would not. In addition, the baskets are significantly lighter, which makes for easier carrying. The heft and weight of full thickness kubu would not work for our shelf storage baskets.
